This course teaches divers to prevent trouble and provide appropriate care for his or her buddy and other divers if a problem occurs. It includes an academic side on rescue methods and knowledge on trouble involving diving, and 5 sessions of practical training at sea. This course is vital for those aiming to become pro.
Most problems that occur during diving are trivial and can be solved quickly if you stay calm and act appropriately. However, plenty of cases have been reported in which the diver doesn't know how to act or isn't mentally prepared for problems and panics as a result of mental stress, leading to serious trouble. The Rescue Diver course aims to prevent these situations. As well as teaching you how to stay calm and act appropriately, this course covers rescue methods in case of an accident and how to care for other divers. At the end, you'll take part in a rescue simulation, picturing an actual accident and getting involved from discovering a victim, rescuing, providing first aid and transporting him or her.
The Rescue Diver course is for customers joining one of our cruises. It incorporates different subjects into the dives on offer. There is plenty of time during the cruise so you'll be able to take the course at your own pace and have fun while doing it and by training in an actual diving environment with equipment such as oxygen, first aid and wireless, you'll be able to learn in a real and practical setting.
