This is a limited offer to the Banda Sea, a sanctuary for hammerhead sharks. We'll aim to spot large groups of hammerheads in an unknown ocean that's surrounded by big islands. The cruise departs from and returns to Ambon, a treasure trove of macrolife. You'll enjoy pristine coral reefs and dive sites with impressive underwater topography such as dropoffs. Make sure you book early as this cruise is limited to October only!
Located in the western Pacific, the Banda Sea is an unknown ocean surrounded by six large islands -- the Moluccas,Kai Islands, Tanimbar Islands, Solor Islands,Buton Island and Sulawesi Island. Within the Banda Sea area, there are no big islands. Instead, small ones are dotted around. Because its seabed topography has huge differences in elevation, there are many dynamic dropoffs, while groups of hammerhead sharks can be seen in areas with good water flow. It's an area that's full of excitement, and only accessible by joining a dive cruise. Ours is a special one limited to October, when our ships move from the Komodo cruise to Raja Ampat.

The Banda Sea lies around 132km southeast of Ambon, and is mainly made up of six islands - Banda Neira, Banda Besar Island, Ai Island, Run Island, Pisang Island and Hatta Island. This area is only accessible by joining a dive cruise and is a suitable site that's fit to call itself an unexplored region of pristine nature. Vivid, vibrant coral reefs and soft coral spread out before you, and you'll enjoy some diving that's well worth it,where even the fish appear to be one size bigger, perhaps because the water contains plenty of nutrients. If you're lucky, you might see schools of mobula rays, dolphins and whales. You'll never cease to be excited here.
▲Beautiful colars
The dynamic dropoffs reach down to over 4,000m. The water flow is good, and the area is acknowledged by divers as a sanctuary for hammerhead sharks. The chances of them appearing goes up between September and November, and you'll have a chance to witness the hammerhead river, when the species flocks together. The area is also famous for its good visibility. You'll enjoy an underwater world of thick shoals of fish and pristine coral.
