[Entry] [Descent] [Neutral Buoyancy] [Swimming] [Ascent] [Exit]
Even after an enjoyable dive, please do not lower your guard. How you exit the water will change greatly depending on conditions at sea. Please make sure you master the necessary skills and check and understand what you must be aware of during an exit.
A huge cruise ship will be coming to collect you so stay close to your guide and swim towards the ship when the stern starts to approach. Depending on the situation, a rope will be thrown to you from the ship so make your way to the stern while following the rope.
Check point!
After ascending, make sure your head is above water so you can see what is happening around you. When swimming towards the boat, it's easier if you fin kick while lying on your back and you can also see what's going on around you.
If there are some waves, you may find yourself underneath the boat when it's swaying, even though there is a protective bar between the two ladders. In addition, while you are waiting for other divers to exit, even if you are holding on to this bar you will be moving up and down in the waves which is dangerous. Please leave enough space between you and the ship and exit one by one.
When exiting, try to get your timing right when grabbing on to the ladder. Then put one foot on the ladder, shift your weight to it, find your balance, quickly take off your fins and climb up.
After Exit Take your fins and go back to where you were before your dive. After checking your gauge for your log book, remove your first stage.
There are many similar kinds of gear on board so make sure yours is kept together. When removing your first stage, remove water from the dust cap using your tank and screw the cap back in tightly.
■ A Word of Advice Waves can sometimes be high on the Similan Islands. Depending on conditions at sea, we may have to exit the water in different ways so please make sure that you cooperate with the guide's instructions. Once you have mastered your skills from entry to exit, have a shot at a Similan Islands dive cruise. We offer full-on cruises of 4 nights and 4 days, or shorter cruises with a one night's stay or more so you can choose what option you'd like.
